Now a live video marketing expert and the leading voice in live video marketing Joel talks with Doyle Buehler about how to build your live audience through scheduling, subscription, marketing, and even spontaneity. Joel addresses the challenges of going live and that the “biggest obstacle is not technology but rather people’s fears. His own mother has 10 million views to her YouTube channel at 76 years old!

He presents a step-by-step playbook on how to use social media as a leveraging tool to expand the reach of your brand, increase your customer base, and create fierce brand loyalty for your business. We buy from people we “know, like, and trust.” He has authority on the various ways to harness the marketing power of mobile applications to explode profits and offers an inspiring yet down-to-earth call to action for those who dream of obtaining growth and financial success. As Joel says, “Be brave. Just do it and encourage people by saying, ‘Hey follow me!’ or ‘Hey, share this broadcast!’” Give people value and that will interest them.

Tim Hughes is a transformational leader, best selling author of “Social Selling: Techniques to Influence Buyers and Changemakers”, and a top 10 Social Media influencer. Tim joins host Doyle Buehler and discusses why people need to embrace the social selling process because, “If you don’t sell, you don't make money, therefore you don’t actually exist”. With a background in sales and sales management, Tim has been involved in Social Media for over 7 years, having built a following on Twitter of 160,000 and becoming a top 10 influencer. He spent the last 3 years working on the largest sales and marketing business transformations; transitioning a business that did a small number of high-value sales on premise to a model that supports volume and velocity; Cloud and SaaS.

Tim enables sales people to thrive in modern social selling techniques and explores why you don’t just need to sell your brand, you need to learn to sell yourself. Tim instructs listeners to “Google themselves” immediately and gives steps on how to build a more intriguing profile. He has built a unique framework to support selling and marketing using white boarding, storytelling, ROI model, benefit selling etc. . .Forget tradition! Buying and selling will never be the same and the disruption is only going to get bigger. Social selling has been and will continue to be norm. The only reason it’s called “social selling” instead of “selling” is that we need to differentiate it from the “old”. People need to catch up!

Mark Schaefer is a globally-recognized blogger, speaker, educator, consultant, and author who blogs at (grow) - one of the top marketing blogs of the world. As Executive Director of Schaefer Marketing Solutions, he specializes in marketing strategy and social media workshops. Mark gets candid about how to cut through the online “information density” by using humanity and heart. This author of five best-selling books (Social Media Explained, Return On Influence, Born to Blog, The Content Code, and The Tao of Twitter) reveals how marketing goes in phases: something gets hot, then it gets saturated, and then it moves to the next phase. Don’t get left behind!

On this episode of Breaking Digital, Doyle and Mark have a brilliant and honest discussion about what marketing actions need to take place within your business to survive. Forget about being an overnight YouTube success. Be real. Show who you are, mistakes and all. It makes for a better story. Mark refreshingly assures us that using a “humanity” filter in our branding is the way to our customers hearts. He pushes companies out of their comfort zone by encouraging them to share what they stand for, what they believe in, and essentially to reveal “their heart?” If your branding is failing it is likely bland, antiseptic, sterile, or formulaic. Bottom line: treat people online the same way you would treat them offline. The surprising twist: 2017 is going to be a milestone year with artificial intelligence at the forefront of marketing strategy. Can't get enough of Mark? He is the co-host of The Marketing Companion, one of the top 10 marketing podcasts on iTunes.

Mark is a popular and entertaining commentator and has appeared on many national television shows and periodicals including the Wall Street Journal, Wired, The New York Times, CNN, National Public Radio, CNBC, the BBC and the CBS NEWS. He is a regular contributing columnist to The Harvard Business Review.
